Love that VoiceOver interview w VO Casting Dir Juan Bagnell part 1: Artist and engineer
Juan flies through his Air Force brat childhood, sees alien aircraft Hangar 18… Sells high-tech to move into LA… Ironically a crappy cell phone doesn’t interfere w/ landing his 1st job at the top Abrams Artists Talent Agency as Booth Director in the VO dept… Juan goes from inconsolable to amazed, taking his tech artistic cred to the booth with superstar Richard Dreyfuss… Juan Carlos Bagnell, aka Some Audio Guy, is a freelance voice over director living in Los Angeles who has been recording, producing, and directing VO and handling sound production for well over a decade. After building a solid reputation at Abrams Artists Talent Agency as a Booth Director and Assistant he moved over to casting, now working with the longest running VO casting company on the west coast, The Voicecaster.
Blending an education in Theatre Arts with a family history of engineering, Juan is equally as adept at directing the actor as he is at capturing the performance. Juan is recommended by top tier folks like Bob Bergen, Carlos Alazraqui, Kari Wahlgren and more.
